Meet the Teacher Blogger {Linky}

Everyone is excited to meet their new teachers this time of year so my friend Stephanie from Falling into First had a brilliant linky idea.  So, I'm joining in the fun.  Read on to get to know me a little better.

I was  born and raised in the upstate of South Carolina where I still live with my husband, our two Boxers (Chloe and Sampson) and our cat (Maggie).  I'm starting my 18th year of teaching (eek!) and have been blessed to have spent every one of those years in 2nd grade...the best grade evah!

Q& A Session

THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS...

Alex and Ani bracelets....obsessed!
 Grateful Bags....who doesn't love a little monogram?

Dark chocolate and sea salt...newest summer love!  Although these aren't dark chocolate, they're still heavenly....

IF YOU WEREN'T A TEACHER, WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO BE?

I would be a secret agent/spy....think Jennifer Garner in Alias.  <3  Maybe I am?  Who knows? #secretspyblogger

THREE LITTLE WORDS THAT DESCRIBE YOU.

Determined.  Loyal.  Compassionate.

FINISH THE SENTENCE, "________, SAID NO TEACHER EVER!!"

Summer is TOO LONG!  I was going to make an ecard with this, but of course there already was one!

Q: IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY AND YOU CAN INVITE ANYONE {DEAD OR ALIVE} TO THE PARTY. WHO ARE YOU INVITING?

Adam Levine, of course.  He could sing the phone book to me (or Happy Birthday, in this case I guess).  :)  Here's one of my favorite pics I took at one of my favorite concerts EVER!

Q: IF SOMEONE WROTE A BOOK ABOUT YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD BE THE TITLE?

Falling Up - wait....someone already did that, right?!  I still think it would be fitting.  (I fall down.  A lot.  But, I always get back up!)

Q: YOU GET TO PICK ONE SUPERPOWER. WHAT IS IT?

Immortality.  No explanation needed....especially since I fall so much. #clumsy
Q: WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE OR SAYING?

I don't really have a favorite quote/saying.  I'm a song girl.  I love, love lyrics from John Lennon's Imagine and Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here.

Q: IF YOU HAD TO SING ONE SONG ON AMERICAN IDOL, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

This is tough because I can totally rock every Rihanna and Christina Aguelira song in the car (just don't ask my passengers to confirm this), but being the 80s girl I am I would have to go with Madonna's Like a Prayer.

Q: ARE YOU A MORNING PERSON OR A NIGHT OWL?

Definitely a night owl.  I've been staying up till 2:00am a lot this summer.  My body is not going to like hearing that 5:20am alarm clock again starting TOMORROW!! :(

Q: WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE RESOURCE THAT YOU'VE CREATED IN YOUR TPT SHOP?

My favorite resource is always my latest one.  Ha!  I'm going to go with my Dealing with Math Homework...just because it completely changed my life for the better. :) #nomorehomeworkstress

Q: SHARE SOMETHING WE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU!

I'm a really quiet/private person but I love adrenaline sports like rock climbing, parasailing, bungee jumping, and skydiving! #risktaker

  2. I'm also a song girl, and I love Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. I heard on the radio that it was written for a former bandmate who had to leave the band due to mental illness. Makes me sad.
    Love the post!

Cute idea for Math Homework, too!

  10. Oh my gosh I'm hyperventilating just looking at that picture of you skydiving! I am NOT an adventure seeker in any way, shape, or form...some people [my husband] would call that boring, but I'm sorry, I like being alive...hahaha!
