I've seen your pictures on Instagram.
I've read your blog posts about your shopping sprees.
Back to school sales are in full swing.
I haven't been in the mood to shop for back-to-school until recently. I like to pretend that summer will go on forever. But, the reality is that some of us only have a few weeks {or less!} until the new school year will begin!
So, with that thought floating in my head, I, too, have started to make my lists of what I need for the new school year.
When Office Max contacted me and asked if I would like to receive one of their "Tools for Schools" teacher care packages to review on my blog, I jumped at the chance. You're a teacher....you know how we feel about school supplies....a whole "teacher care package" of them?? YES, PLEASE! :)
So, I was super excited when I came home from teaching my workshop yesterday to find a BOX sitting in our den. Yep, just like Christmas morning! :)
Inside, was ALL of the essentials that a teacher needs to get the school year started off right! Is that a beautiful sight or what??
1) An Electric Pencil Sharpener
2) Scissors

6) 150 colored paper clips
7) 36 small binder clips

9) 36 #2 pencils
10) $50 OfficeMax Giftcard
That's right!! OfficeMax also included a $50 giftcard in the package so teachers can shop for the goodies that they need specifically for their classroom!! WOOHOO!!
That $50 will go a L-O-N-G way in helping me get the other supplies I need! I'm thinking lots of CARDSTOCK and LAMINATION for all of the games and activities I need to print soon!
Here's the BEST part about this post....OfficeMax has reserved a "Tools for Schools" teacher care package for one of my blog readers!!!!!!!!!!!! That's right one of you will win this same package {over $125 value}.

Wow! Awesome box of goodies! I have done the back to school event and loved the great teacher deals. I mean, who doesn't love a bargain on school supplies! If I were to win, I would buy colored copy paper, colored ink, and cardstock. Our school doesn'tsupply any of those, and I love to print in color and use colored copy paper for the kiddos :)Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWow! I could probably spend twice that much or more at OfficeMax! (Shhhh! Don't tell my hubby!) I would begin in cardstock and end when I ran out of store. I like to check out the classroom teaching tools aisle too. I really need a new bookshelf for my classroom. I live close to you so we could meet up and spend our money together!

I could REALLY use the gift card since I have to buy all of my supplies for my students! I haven't been to an Office Max appreciation day because there isn't one in my town, but I would love to go shopping there (an hour away) if I get the gift card. What a lucky day that would be!! THANKS!!

So jealous! :) Something about brand new school supplies makes me happy!
ReplyDelete1) Yes, I have attended the Office Max Teacher Appreciation event. I love getting a bag of some freebies and I especially loved the discount so that I can buy my school supplies!
2) If I am so lucky enough to win the $50 gift card, I would put it TOWARDS new pens, markers, paper, folders, shelves, cute binder clips, school calendar, chart paper, etc... because of course I would spend way more! :)

Love OfficeMax! I haven't been to an event, but I took advantage of teachers getting double the limit on sale items last week and the week before! Love all they do for teachers!
ReplyDeleteWith the giftcard I would definitely get a good pencil sharpener and colored paper and cardstock! This is my first year teaching elementary school, so there are about a million things I could get with that!

Thanks for the giveaway! I'd probably get card stock and printer cartridges!
ReplyDeleteI've been the Office Max Teacher Appreciate Days. It's great because you get to try out some new products. I loved the colored dry eraser markers I had in my bag a few years back! Plus, it's nice to get coupons for things you plan on buying for your classroom!
ReplyDeleteIf I had $50 dollars Id' probably want to buy tape for my label maker, felt tip grading pens, and binder rings! I use binder rings more than you'd think!!
What a great giveaway!

I've never been to the Office Max teacher event, but I'll have to go this year!
ReplyDeleteIf I won the GC, I'd have them print out a bunch of my fun finds from TpT and buy some extra card stock for my classroom. Dry Erase markers would be useful as well.
Thanks!

This is my first year in my own classroom, so I am hoping to attend the event. And since it is my first year I need everything, so a gift card would be wonderful! Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeletejkmatuch@aol.com
Most likely I would buy printer ink but this will be my first year as a permanent teacher in my own classroom so I need EVERYTHING!! I was a long term sub in my school last year and we ran out of the basics (pencil, dry erase markers, etc) by the end of winter so I might stock up on those as well!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!

What a great thing Office Max is doing for teachers! I would use the $50 towards an electric stapler. My just recently broke and I need to replace it before school starts in a couple of weeks. I, too, like to pretend summer will last forever!
ReplyDeleteI would buy some printer ink for my poor, poor printer that has been on overdrive this summer!! :)
ReplyDeleteBreanne
I made it last year and will definitely go again this year! The staff was friendly and even opened boxes of composition notebooks for me because I wanted a certain color. :)
ReplyDeleteI, like many others, would buy printer ink and probably a new mouse for my school computer.
I would buy some binders to organize my units, printer ink, and laminating supplies!
ReplyDeleteI would loooooove to buy pens!! And a planner! I am in the process of becoming a new teacher - going into my last year of my B.Ed - so I feel very at home with others who adore new school supplies! <3
ReplyDeleteI would purchase laminating supplies, card stock, and lead pens for my students!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited! 1. No, I have never been to an event. I know I would love it because school supplies are my favorite things in the world. 2. I attend their event every year! Office Max is AWESOME! They are far superior to our other office supply store in town. They definitely know how to treat teachers right! I'm not sure right off hand what I would buy first. I teach in a title school so every bit helps!
ReplyDeleteI attended their event this morning! Love how their employees are so helpful! I also got a super cool lesson planner for free! :)
ReplyDeleteI have attended this event! My favorite part is the treat bag they give teachers. It feels like Christmas morning! I love getting free things!
ReplyDeleteI've never attended it. I always see it and then forget I'm planning to go to it (can you tell I'm forgetful?). I've heard it's wonderful though. I would love to be able to buy more cardstock and color ink to print out all my center materials.
ReplyDeleteI attended the Office Max teacher event last year. I was able to stock almost my entire classroom with the items I purchased at the time. I visit Office Max every single week in July, August and September in order to use their ad specials to the full benefit. Not only am I grateful for all of the items I get, but many of my students are too, since I have quite a few students whose families are not in the position to purchase all of their school supplies.
ReplyDeleteI have never attended an Office Max Teacher event because I didn't know where the closest store was! Thanks to your blog I have registered with them and got my Max Perks card. I expect to attend the event! If I won, I would spend my $50 on post-it notes, rulers, and desk organizers for my students.
ReplyDeleteI have been to the Office Max Teacher Appreciation, and it has been so much fun. I would buy ink, cardstock, neon printer paper/designer printer paper, and colorful pens if I won the $50 gift card. Congratulations on your goodies from Office Max.
ReplyDeleteI would buy colored card stock and Mr. Scent markers for my classroom. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI am so unfortunate to not have an Office Max in my area, but I am going to buy online! I would have to use the gift card on dry erase markers, post-it's, and binders.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! That would be a great gift for someone entering the teaching profession, a veteran teacher, etc.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I am always buying colored card stock- year round- because my school is somewhat stingy...and now that I bought my own little laminator I will need more laminator pouches soon...and since I work in a very low income district, I always buying crayons, scissors, and glue for my students. I have been to the Office Max Teacher Appreciation event, that's when I stock up on my extra supplies for the kids :)

I haven't yet been to an Office Max Teacher Appreciation event! I would purchase laminator pouches and brightly-colored card stock for centers!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to an event in a while. I always seem to forget until it's too late.
ReplyDeleteIf I was being sensible, I'd buy colored printer ink, printer paper, or card stock. If I wasn't feeling sensible, I'd buy cool colored pens or markers just for me to use when I grade papers or write notes. Hmmm, sensible or not, that's the question. :o)
I'd buy printer ink
ReplyDeleteI have not gone to one of the events but I do shop primarily at Office Max for supplies.
ReplyDeleteI would use the $50 for paper, pens and pencils

I have attended the Office Max TAE. I love the coupons and the freebies. I also love socializing with teachers from other districts in the area. I have even picked up an idea or two for my classroom. ReplyDeleteYes, I have attended several Office Max Teacher Appreciation Days in the past. I really enjoyed meeting other teachers that live in my area, but don't teach at my school or in my district. It is always great to be able to network with other teachers.
ReplyDeleteThe Traveling Teacher
I would love to win this. I would spend the $50 on a personal laminator. The process to get something laminated in our school system is very complicated. It would be nice to do some smaller jobs myself.
ReplyDeleteI would stock up on supplies like paper, crayons, markers, and ink! This is a terrific prize!
ReplyDeleteNice! I haven't attended the Office Max events yet. With the $50 I would buy a laminator. It would save lots of time. vronnrocio@dslextreme.com
