Valentine's Day {for the Hubs}

Raise your hand if you're still snowed in!  Yep, you're a member of the Snow Day Club then!  Tammy from Dots of Fun created this cute little button that you are welcome to use if you're in the club.  :)  It is still coming down here and they're saying this evening we will get about one inch per hour.  WOW!  I'm pretty sure I'm not going back to work until next Tuesday (since Monday is a holiday already).

That means I have more time to BLOG!  Yay!  If you're like me and you're snowed in, you might be in trouble since Valentine's Day is Friday.  Oops!  I'm never that far ahead.  How are you going to get out and buy a little something special for the hubs (or wife)?

You're welcome to use the same idea as me - I can't claim it as my idea...it's all over Pinterest, but I did make my own little templates and date ideas to fit exactly what I wanted.

I mean, what do you get each other when you've been married for a while?  14 years for us!  Honestly, the only thing that we don't have enough of is TIME to spend with each other.

So, this little gift is the perfect one to carve out a little extra time to spend with each other doing things that you might not typically do.

Simply glue the "cover" to the front of an envelope and write a little love note to go inside of that envelope.

Then, put a date card in an envelope for each month of the year.  When your spouse opens the gift, he/she will get to open the first envelope with the love note, and the first month envelope (February) for to reveal this month's date.

And then, he/she will get to open a date card on the first of each month.  I love that it's a gift that keeps on giving and ensures that we'll spend at least one day each month doing something outside of the box!

You can click the image below to download a PDF of the dates I created...

Of course, those dates may not suit your needs.  So, you can click HERE to download the PowerPoint I created them in and edit them to fit your own needs!

The best thing is, you can assemble this gift while be stranded at home on a snow day!  :)  Stay warm, friends, and I pray that your (and my) power stays on through this storm!

  4. I love this idea for Valentines Day. I am also somewhat jealous of your snow day club. I am in Southern California. Can we join the "Ugh, another 80 degree sunny day club". I know it sounds good to the rest of the country but we need precipitation and some cool winter days. My spring bulbs have all bloomed already. Too bad we can't have swap weather days every once in a while.

  7. I love the Tenzi game! My brother gave it to each family for Christmas a couple of years ago and the nieces and nephews love to get together and play it! Your dates are so cute! I made some as well but yours are much cuter than mine. Your hubby will love spending time with you:)
