It is my weakest subject for sure. I just downloaded the SuperSpeed 1000 but I thought that there would be a list of the words on a worksheet that the students could keep at their desks. Am I missing something? Should I just type all the words in columns for my students. Each student in the group reads at the same time to try to beat their record from the day before! :) Love it!!! I also love Jodi Southard's sets too!! I used them last year, but I looped up to third this year. However, now I'm thinking I could still use some of the 2nd grade set for quick reinforcement!! I love all of your posts!! Thank you for always sharing!! OHHH, and we are LOVING your TEAM work!!!! I bought your newsletters and everything! The kids love it, and they ask to do MORE extras!!!! So great to see! :)

Nicole :)
All Things Apple in 2nd
Nicolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12308961413209045179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8533213618539100325.post-31180603115783338982014-09-24T22:36:15.200-04:002014-09-24T22:36:15.200-04:00This reminds me of that story about trying to fit ...This reminds me of that story about trying to fit coffee, sand, rice, and rocks into a jar. If you put the biggest things in first, and then add items in descending size order, they all fit.
Life (and teaching) is like that. The most important things have to go first, otherwise there is no room for them in the end.

I think it's awesome to begin with the activity!
